Tip or Not, That Is the Question
Many of our Emergency Truck and Trailer Repair customers have asked us if tipping their emergency roadside assistance provider is a requirement, so that has prompted us to write this post to address it.
Your roadside assistance provider is available whenever you need their services. They are the ones to call if your car suffers a breakdown on the side of the road, has a flat tire, or your battery has gone flat and requires a jump-start. If you run out of gas or have locked yourself out of your vehicle. Most roadside assistance providers work 24/7, meaning you can rely on them even if it is in the dead of night, or on holidays. This then begs the question: should you tip your emergency roadside assistance provider?
Even though you are not obligated to tip them, you should consider it if you are happy with the services that they provided. Providers that are dispatched will frequently go above and beyond their basic contracted services. They may respond to a call in the middle of the night or work extra hard to get your vehicle out of a ditch or snowbank. While it is not required, tipping in these types of situations does show appreciation for their extra help. And, leaving a positive review online is another great way to show your gratitude.
Providing roadside emergency services is not as easy as you think. These individuals will often work long hours, be ready to go at any time, and work in difficult weather conditions. Even though the cost of the service is paid by you, you should consider offering a tip, especially when you feel the emergency roadside service provider who came to your rescue did everything they could to get you back on the road again.
